Website Owner

jobacleJobacle.com is a popular career advice blog that I launched in 2005.  Created to offset the generic career advice offered by the big job boards, Jobacle strives to offer unique and interesting content that often goes against conventional wisdom.  Unlike most career blogs, Jobacle does not sell job listings.   The goal is to offer career advice that puts the employee first.

Jobacle has been featured in/on The Washington Post, Chicago Sun-Times, Globe & Mail, Nielsen, Reuters, NBC,  Forbes, Gawker, SIRIUS Radio, BBC Radio 4, Yahoo! and dozens of other major blogs.

Podcasting

In 2005 I launched The Working Podcast, the very first Internet radio show dedicated to career advice. I no longer produce the show, but this sample show (I recorded over 100) will give you an idea of my audio production skills. It was fun to be an influential part of the podcasting scene when it first emerged. I would love to return to the podcasting space if time permits!

During my tenure at WLIR-FM and VH1 SIRIUS Satellite Radio, I had the good fortune to record dozens of international acts. From Coldplay to the Wallflowers, Lee Ann Womack to Darius Rucker — it was a lot of fun.

Here’s a sample.

Some kind words from nice folks!

Jenna Weinerman
Marketing Director at Updater
Drew is an amazing freelancer writer that I’ve been fortunate enough to work with for quite a few years now. He always delivers our projects on time, has a great appreciation for the art and science that is blending business writing with SEO needs, and is able to work independently on deadlines. Thanks to Drew’s efforts and support, I’ve been able to scale my small, in-house marketing departments with great success

Irina Barskiy
Manager of Growth & Acquisition at Danone Nutricia Early Life Nutrition
Andrew was imperative to our content strategy at FlatRate. He understood our marketing and content needs very well, having the uncanny ability to write great content, while working within the guidelines of SEO. He always delivered on time (and most cases ahead of time), was great with communication, and most importantly, provided great quality work. Would highly recommend if you need help with any content.

Leah Faul
Founder and CEO of 15,000 Cubits
Andrew was a great asset to our marketing team. As a contract writer, he was the best decision I made in terms of planning content for our inbound marketing strategy. He would deliver on time EVERY time, was incredibly professional and able to take limited information and turn it into brilliant, shareable content. It was a pleasure working with him and I will continue to try to find a place for him in our marketing strategy anytime I have the opportunity. I recommend him to any business or agency looking for content writers to assist in content creation for marketing efforts. I really can’t say it enough. Working with Andrew was easy, seamless and consistent quality content

Nathan Preheim
Senior Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce
Andrew is absolutely first class. He consistently delivered creative and entertaining blog and podcast content. I found him to be reliable and hard working. He’s personable, friendly, and flexible. I’d strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a clever freelance writer.

Sharyn Crown
Luxury Brokerage Group
Andrew has done a fabulous job helping us with our blog. He is creative, intelligent and does what he says he will do when he says he will do it. Andrew has written about San Diego with a totally different perspective and his writing has helped us attract clients.

Nancy LaFever
Writer, Editor, and Book Editor at Writerchick, LLC
Working with Andrew has been one of my top writer/editor experiences. His attention to detail, impressive knowledge-base and tech-savvy repertoire have helped me grow as a writer and blogger. But it’s his constant support and appreciation of my writing that has been the “extras” that define a truly great editor.

Plenty more available upon request!
